Hello patrons! My name is Raithe Clemons of central Iowa. I have been in the industry for nearly a decade, a business owner all those years. Immediately after high school in 2016, I was working for a custom builder in Waukee, IA where I'd picked up on construction flow very quickly! Within three months I had decided to start a business with a co-worker there who saw my potential and desire to learn. We operated together for seven years. During that time we did decking and fencing starting out. The first winter was really cold and we didn't have much work lined up so we started creating pallet letters to sell. Eventually, after Christmas time, we got in contact with a local custom woodworking shop. They decided to have us start doing all their installations. With them, we would partake in flooring jobs, kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations, full blown interior remodels, framing, decking, siding, patios, and even took part in the woodworking and built a timber frame. Fortunately, the time came for us to pave our own road. In 2019 we'd broke away from that relationship and started doing those things and more on our own! In 2020 we'd come to the realization it would be difficult for us to teach guys how to do anything and everything like we did. We started working on primarily roofing and siding. During August of 2020 the derecho hit, and we did a number of projects with that. Soon after, a hurricane devastated Louisiana, and we couldn't sit idle. Armed with a truck, dump trailer, skid loader, chainsaws, roofing tools, and our crew, we made our way down a 1,000 mile trek without any promises of work. For a month, we were clearing roads and properties of wind ravaged land to make our way to bigger cities. There we connected with FEMA, and became FEMA certified disaster relief specialists. We outfitted over 350 properties with temporary protection overhead, fiber woven blue tarps, during the span of the next two months. When we came back to Iowa, there was still localized devastation, so we got right to work. We expanded our team, and sent them all through programs with our trusted roofing and siding manufacturers. This allowed us to have a thorough grasp on the quality measures to be taken performing this type of work. In 2022, we added gutters to our list of services. As the years progressed things went smoothly, until they weren't. It turned out, my now ex business partner and I had a difference in business philosophies. I still had this insatiable desire to satisfy my paying customer's dreams. At the tail end of 2024, I'd decided to totally disassociate from what once was, to become what has always been - dedicated to my work, and servicing people with pride. Through Legends Construction Services, I bring you these experiences for best project possible, with a passion for the public, and building communities from the ground up. Today we are proud to service central Iowa, and create projects that won't just look sharp, but also be lasting legacies.
